Having been United`s man for all games this season, arrows sensation James Milner has warned not to become too complacent ahead of the big game tonight. The former Leeds lad has called on the clubs senior pros to let their experience come to the fore to cope with an impressive Alkmaar set up:
"They're a quality team, but we've played a few quality teams in the UEFA Cup so far. They've had a good season and shown what a good team they are, but we've had them watched and we'll know what to expect. Hopefully we can go out there and put in a good performance. The main thing is to get a clean sheet. They're obviously good away from home, and they'll be confident, but we looked solid against Middlesbrough and I can't really remember them having a chance.
It's good to go into a European game against a team like AZ on the back of a defensive performance like that. European football's a massive thing for a club like Newcastle, and hopefully we can keep doing well in the UEFA Cup this season. When I was a 15-year-old kid at Leeds they reached the latter stages of the Champions League so I know what it does for a club to do well in Europe.'
Apart from the last statement - pretty much spot on by the young lad. Lets not end up like Leeds please Jimmy!
