'If It's Football, It's Vital'

And we want to sign this lad?

With links to Anton Ferdinand growing every week this back page story isn`t exactly the sort we want to attract to the club. Having had years of problems with the bling boy brigade under Sir Bobby, Ferdinand represents a return to the immature off-pitch problems that tainted us for years and brought many unsavoury headlines. Having knocked them on the head under Souness and Roeder lets not return.

Just for the record Ferdinand managed rig up a party for 120 people in South Carolina when he told West Ham he was visiting his grandma on the Isle of Wight. Knocking back booze all night this took place in the week before the Hammers crunch match against Charlton. They got a 4-0 hiding and Ferdinand persisted in telling the same story despite the club knowing about this. Coupled with his off pitch assault rap I`d say he was one deal we should be keeping well away from.
