Taylor on Newcastle youth

Ahead of the Boro game tomorrow Steven Taylor had time to talk about our young players who have made such an impression this season. From David Edgar's goal against Man Utd to Paul Huntington's equaliser against Spurs, not forgetting Taylor and Milner's contributions it's been a season where youth has been thrust to the fore. Taylor said on Sky Sports News:

'A lot of the young lads have come through, they have done fantastic to come in against some of the top sides. We have got to stick together, that is important. We have a small squad and we have to live with that. Hopefully in the summer we can get some new signings together and we will be okay.'

Stevie saved his biggest praise for striker Obafemi Martins who has crashed home the goals that have kept us away from any relegation trouble so far:

'Obafemi has done fantastic for us. He has scored a lot of goals, but it is not just his goals as he has provided a lot of assists.'
