'If It's Football, It's Vital'

More Owen quotes

Speaking to the Chronicle about his injury and life on the treatment table Michael Owen was still no closer to giving a concrete date on his comeback. He did however find time to lend his support to the boss and the squad after the weekend`s demoralising result:

'This is Glenn's first full season in charge and there has been a change in backroom staff too. We have had a good season to be where we are with all of the injuries we have had. There is a good chance it can improve too.It is frustrating not being able to play in front of the fans here. This year I have watched the whole season so being in the stands is nothing new for me.

This has been Glenn Roeder's first full season and he has had time to assess his squad. I would have thought you will see his stamp on the team next season. I have been impressed with a lot of the lads he already has in the squad but hopefully he will bring more more players in the summer. It will be interesting because it will be down to his team but I have to say in the year he has been in charge Glenn has done well given the circumstances.'
