'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Neil Cox`s Worst Nightmare

Without a doubt the 95/96 game against Boro was my favourite match against the Smoggies. Whilst not being a thrashing, watching Ginola admit Neil Cox to the Right Back`s Rehab Centre was a special memory. Daveeeed laid down the marker as early as the fourth minute when he crossed for Sir Les to crash home again. Throughout the match he jinked, shimmied and generally traumatised the hapless full back as Bryan Robson`s side got a lesson in how to use your left flank.

Late on in the game Boro scored probably should have had a penalty…or so they thought. In fairness it should have been given which really wound up the Bananaman faced Jamie Pollock. Watching the bristly Beast spitting and hockling at the linesman after seeing the decision go against him made the moment even more special. However any sort of equaliser that day would have been a travesty against arguably Ginola`s finest game in a black and white shirt.
