Glenn 'rant` at ref

Glenn 'rant` at ref

Despite what I thought was an ok performance by Alan Wiley (especially regarding a particularly soft penalty award) the gaffer seems to have thought a little differently. Speaking out he said:

"I like to see a referee apply common sense, but I don't think he did in this game. He is a very experienced referee but I thought he was very petty. I was close to the situation when Nicky and Scott were booked, and neither of them have said anything that warrants a booking.'

In fairness Wiley did manage to clamp down on a lot of Wigan`s physical play by dishing out 6 bookings to the home team. In comparison to some of the other horro shows we've been treated to I don't think it was the worst display by the man in the middle.
