SOUNESS FOR THE SACK?

The Toon website www.TalkOfTheTyne.net is usually on the ball, and have contacts at the club. The full story is on that site.

They report this morning:-

Graeme Souness's grip on the manager's job at Newcastle United was allegedly saved by Lee Clark's injury-time equaliser against Middlesbrough at St James' Park on Monday. But rumours we hear from the ground this morning suggest club chairman was as frustrated as the fans on Bank Holiday Monday and 'Fat Fred' has already sounded out Bolton boss Sam Allardyce as a replacement.

Our source at the club is VERY reliable, and more trouble behind the scenes this week could be the final straw for Fred.
