'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Shay back for the weekend?

Having injured his groin in the West Ham home game a month ago our Lazarus like goalkeeper is hoping to be back in contention by the time we face Paul Jewell's relegation battlers on Sunday. Lifford's finest spoke about himself and our UEFA Cup run:

'Thursday (in the Uefa Cup) is a bit too soon, but if it all goes well in training this week then Sunday is a realistic chance of being in the squad. We'd like to get to the UEFA Cup Final. We know it is in Glasgow, so it is not too far for the fans to travel and it will be ideal. There are some tough teams left, but if we get everyone fit we are a good team as well and there is no reason why we can't go on and pick up the cup.'

Shay's return is a welcome bonus to a side that haven't managed to keep a clean sheet in their last 17 games.
