Rafa Tries To Keep Focus

Rafa Benitez had his usual pre-match press conference today and with it came the usual pressing for answers from the press.

With unanswered issues over form, injuries, transfer targets and takeover talk, you could excuse Rafa for being a miserable so and so but he took it in his stride like always.

With no win in seven games, the pressure to do better is always there and probably more so from the Spaniard himself as he finds Newcastle just three points off the bottom of the premier league although in fairness, Rafa would say three points from eleventh as well.

The presser which is on the official NUFC website now saw Rafa explain a few things and he mentioned that Paul Dummett will continue his comeback from injury by building up his fitness, so the Everton game is too early.

The likes of Jamaal Lascelles and Christian Atsu have continued to train and could feature more in tomorrow's match.

Pressed on a takeover, Rafa smiled and that smile has made a section of social media think that a sale could be concluded very soon although he mentioned more on there being a deadline on which transfer targets we could aim for. Probably a gold range on a takeover or a wood range based on Mike Ashley's continued ruining of the club. We dont know yet.
