St James' Park To Host Showpiece Again

St James' Park To Host Showpiece Again

With all the speculation flying around at the minute in regards to whether there really is a chance of a takeover and an uncertain future ahead, one certainty was confirmed today.

It was confirmed that St James' Park will again be the venue for the next Rugby Dacia Magic Weekend.

The Weekend set of rugby league games will take place in Newcastle next May on the 19th and 20th. It will be the fourth consecutive year that the city has ran the Magic Weekend.

The general manager of The Super League, Mark Foster spoke on Rugby League.com of the decision by declaring:

We are delighted to be bringing the Dacia Magic Weekend back to Newcastle for a fourth year. We had a number of other cities bid to host what is a fantastic event but Newcastle is a great venue for us.

The city has made us feel incredibly welcome over the last three years and we know our fans love to come to Newcastle for the weekend.

Prices for the weekend aren't bad at all with a day ticket costing £25 for adults and £12.50 for concessions but a full weekend ticket will set you back a respectable £40 and £20 respectively.
