Sammy Signs One Year Deal

Sammy Signs One Year Deal

Sammy Ameobi ended the Ameobi family association with Newcastle recently by being released from the club.

The association had been far too long in my opinion with both Sammy and Brother Shola amassing a period of twenty two years at the club. Quite staggering when you think about it.

Anyway, Sammy signed a one year contract with Bolton today and rejoined the club that he had been on loan at last season. A club where he featured in 24 games and scored 4 goals.

Talking about it on Bolton's official website, Sammy said:

It feels great to be back. I'm very familiar with Bolton now.

The gaffer was massive for me last season. He helped me rebuild my confidence and I believe he gets the best out of me.

Everyone was patient with me and it gave me the opportunity to start playing again. I'm really thankful for that and hopefully I can repay them this season.

Sammy left us having scoring 4 times in 71 games.
