Claimed Leak Of Future Newcastle Income Stream

Claimed Leak Of Future Newcastle Income Stream

With the club sponsorship deal with Wonga, long ago, announced as ending at the end of this season, speculation and intrigue has been abound as to what we could attract.

Our local paper, The Chronicle, said a couple of weeks back that a Chinese betting company was close to being announced but since then it's been quiet on that front.

Today, social media started showing the usual leaks ahead of a new strip announcement and these are nearly always right although this is the first mention of a new sponsor.

The kit leak below.

Like anything, a strip design is personal choice as some will like and others will complain but personally speaking it will be the choice of sponsor that determines the feeling on this one.

Wonga were infamous for basically being a legalised loan shark who could get away with certain things as they prayed on people's needs for cash and the ease in which it could be done. The down side of this was that when it was time to pay back, the interest rates caused major heartache for some.

Like gambling, we know it's personal choice although there seems to be greater control around the gambling industry.

As for the new alleged sponsor, Fun88 is an online betting company from Asia who have sponsored Burnley and were a betting partner with Spurs.

The new kit will also feature the 125 year anniversary crest.
