Rafa Continues To Show How Amazing He Is

We've had some ups and downs supporting Newcastle United with it being described as a rollercoaster many a time.

The last nine or ten years though has seen Mike Ashley's idea of running a football club to benefit himself first before anything else just make many of us feel like getting off the ride as it wasn't fun any more.

In fact it was downright torture at times with the media no help with the amount of experts trying to show things in a different light than what it was.

Present day Newcastle under Rafa Benitez can only be described as the bit on the ride where you're going up and to make things better, Rafa is the complete opposite to the likes of Alan Pardew, Joe Kinnear and co.

Even on winning promotion and receiving the title, Rafa seemed a bit embarrassed that it was him getting the plaudits, instead making a point that it was down to the fans or players that what was achieved was down to them.

Today Rafa attended a charity event on Merseyside. It's nothing new to him as he's done these sort of things for years.

He was at the annual Run for the 96 in Stanley Park. An event which raises money for the LFC Foundation and Everton in the Community.

It also remembers everyone involved, both the victims and families of the Hillsborough Disaster that happened back in April 1989.

Benitez who has been involved with many charity things in Liverpool had a massive queue at the run who just wanted their photo taken with him or just to shake his hand, such is the feeling for him still on Merseyside and we're lucky to have him as our boss.

Long may that continue.
