Newcastle Exit Door Gets Primed For Use

Newcastle Exit Door Gets Primed For Use

Much has been written about the great season we have just had and much has been said about how positive the future looks with a recent meeting behind us where Rafa Benitez and Mike Ashley had a meeting to make the garden look rosy.

Aside from the obvious fact that actions need taken to back up the words, there is a downside for some players in regards to their future.

Achraf Lazaar is one who came here last Summer but has only featured in four games this season but who looks to be set to leave. The likes of Haris Vuckic, Sammy Ameobi, Yoan Gouffran and Vurnon Anita are other known names that could go as well.

Speaking in The Chronicle about the future, Lazaar said:

We now need to hear what we do or what will change. Each player waits on their future, maybe they`ll stay or leave.

There is a good dressing room and it has been good to be here. I`d like to say thank you to all the fans on social media and people I see when I go out

Whilst it has already been reported that Gouffran and Anita are waiting to see if they are to be offered new contracts with theirs expiring at the end of next month, the likes of Vuckic and Ameobi will see their contracts expire at the same time with them not expected to be renewed.

It will also be interesting to see what happens with a clutch of players who are going into the final year of their contract. Without a new offer, you'd expect them to be available for transfer.

This group includes the likes of Curtis Good, Tim Krul, Massidio Haidara, Jesus Gamez and Kevin Mbabu although id expect Mbabu to be one of the ones who does get a new offer and you can't rule out Tim Krul being given the chance to earn a new one.
