Travelling With The Toon

GROUND
Away fans are housed in one corner of the ground in between the South and the West Stands, where up to 2,900 fans can be housed. For cup ties they will provide seats in the lower and upper tiers. The legroom is ok, but the trek to the upper tier is a bit like the climb up to the top of the Leazes at St James' Park. There is little room between home and away fans so the banter is always good here.

GETTING THERE
From the M1: At the end of the motorway take the A406 North Circular road east for about 7 miles. In Edmonton, leave the A406 and turn right onto the A1010, travelling south. The ground is on the left after a mile.

PUBS
If you travel by tube to Seven Sisters there a many pubs on the route to the ground, but we normally find it best to drink at the tube end of the road because the closer you get to White Hart Lane the more difficult it is to get in the bars - unless that is only because by the time we get down there the pubs are full. The Antwerp is a friendly place. The Park right by Northumberland Park is ok, and the Bricklayers Arms. The Three Compasses in Queen Street (behind Middlesex University) is also ok.

TRAIN/TUBE
The nearest stations are White Hart Lane and Northumberland Park, and both are a 10 minute walk. Seven Sisters is the closest tube station, but it is a hell of a walk to the ground - easily 20 minutes - but there a plenty buses that head down Tottenham High Road to the ground. Seven Sisters is on the Victoria Line. The 08:33 from Newcastle is due to arrive at Kings Cross at 11:51 so fans on that train who will be expecting to travel by Tube to WHL are likely tomiss the kick off as the Tube strike will start at 12:00. Also, for yourinformation, the last train from Seven Sisters to White Hart Lane before kick off leaves at 12:35.
