Spurs 'wasting their time.'

Glenn Roeder has declared what most football fans have know for sometime, that Tottenham Hotspur are a waste of time.

Speaking about Spurs supposed £7 million transfer swoop for Damian Duff, Roeder said: 'They must know they are wasting their time. Why would we sign Damien Duff in the close season and then sell him on before that season is over?
'We are trying to build a good squad here at Newcastle United and Duff is very much part of our plans.'

He added: 'We have read the reports of Spurs wanting Damien Duff over the weekend, but we have heard nothing from them.'

So Duff is staying, but it doesn't look like any new faces will be joining him at St. James`s park.

Roeder is having to face up to the fact that his main targets are most likely beyond Newcastle`s transfer budget. Roeder will have to concentrate on loan deals in an attempt to shore up his ailing side.

Why would we be interested in Duff? He made his choice when he moved up north at the expense of staying in London and after what he said about not wanting to come to Spurs because of his Chelsea links, then that's fair enough. Plus, the fact he is currently injured right now, as he has been for the last two seasons already! No point splashing out £7million for a player who's on an average of 10 games a season!

what a load of *****e! Why we would want a player that spends half the season on the treatmnt table I don't know. For Duff read Darren' sicknote' Anderton. The day he turned us down and took the over inflated wage packet you lot offered him was a blessing in disguise. Our left flank wouldn't be in a better position than it was before!!!

Will Stevens, not the sharpest tool in the box are you, some idiot talks bull***** in a Newspaper, and you and your IDIOT of a manager actually believe it Dohhh. Then you try to call Spurs a waste of time, Oh dear lets talk about time shall we, 1955 the last "time" Newcastle won a Domestic Trophy LOL Or 1969 the last "time" Newcastle won any Trophy LOL. Spurs have "ONLY managed 13 Trophies "since 1955 Including 3 European ones, and you have the front to try take the ***** out of Spurs !!!!!
