Many Newcastle fans were frustrated when they arrived at St James' Park to find the match with Charlton called off, when the pitch was passed fit to play an hour earlier.
The game fell victim to the wintry weather on Tyneside and was called off at around 7:30, despite a pitch inspection at 6:30 when the pitch was passed fit for play.
Apparently the pitch was playable ... but the roads outside were dangerous.
