Owen: 'I'll be back' (in April)

Michael Owen is increasingly confident that he will be able to play at least some part for Newcastle this season.

The £16 million man hopes to be back by April but admits that there is still an element of wait and see.

Owen Said: 'If it remains a steady progression I'm hoping to be back in April.
'But the real test will come when we get nearer the time.'

In other news, reports are again linking the Toon with a move for James Beattie, after Liverpool made it clear that Peter Crouch was not going anywhere. However, the fact that Moyes has already said that Beattie is staying put seems to indicate that the links with both players are nothing more than paper talk.
