Glenn Roeder is going spying in amongst the tulips in Old Amsterdam ... but does he need an article like this?
He's packed his dark glasses and dodgy mac, and the local newspaper has just given the game away.
Read this article - journalism at its best:
The Chronicle:
'Newcastle United manager, Glenn Roeder, is set to go undercover tomorrow to check out one of his transfer targets.
'Roeder will travel to Holland to run the rule over one of the players he hopes to bring in during the January transfer window.
'But he hasn't asked the home club for a ticket as is the normal practice.
'Instead, he will arrive unannounced and pay on the gate before taking his place among the Dutch fans.
'Roeder is wise enough to know that should the Dutch club in question see he is there, then, because it is Newcastle United, the price quoted for his transfer target will shoot up.
'And, quite naturally, the United boss does not want to alert other clubs to just who he hopes to buy in the January super sales frenzy.'
