Defender Peter Ramage knows all about pressure, as he has taken his fair share of stick in recent weeks, but is delighted to have helped lift the pressure on manager Glenn Roeder.
The 23-year-old regards himself as a central defender and has occasionally looked out of place on the left. But he has played his part in the five-game unbeaten run which has seen the Magpies launch a revival.
Ramage: 'The gaffer has been brilliant for me personally since he has come in. He has given me the confidence to play.
'Even though I am playing out of position, he has told me to go out and express myself.
'He has been under a lot of pressure - media-wise, anyway, I do not know about internally - but all the lads are behind him and trying to give him 100% on the pitch.
'There was only really the Sheffield United performance when we were really below par. The rest of them, we have just not had that little bit of luck at either end.
'The performances have been there, but the results have not. Thankfully on Sunday we got both, and hopefully we can carry that on.'
