Aston Villa v NUFC Team News

We go into today's away fixture at Villa Park with the main news that Siem de Jong is in line to make his debut.

Although de Jong starts on the bench, it will be his first competitive appearance for us if he comes on. Apart from that, its an unchanged starting XI of:

Krul, Janmaat, Williamson, Coloccini, Dummett, Anita, Colback, Gouffran, Sissoko, Cabella, Riviere

de Jong's place on the bench is secured at the expense of the impressive Rolando Aarons and yet again shows the cowardly decision making of Alan Pardew by getting rid of the easiest option.

His sub making is similarly laughable with my prediction that Yoan Gouffran will be the first player to make way for de Jong at some point.

I also predict that Anita will be replaced by Obertan if we're losing and Dummett coming off for Haidara.

Our bench looks like this:

Elliot, Haidara, S.Taylor, Abeid, Obertan, de Jong, Perez

A worrying lack of strength in depth and yet more evidence that the likes of Cheick Tiote and Hatem Ben Arfa shouldn't be sold to line the owners pockets.

Our opponents line up:

Aston Villa: Guzan, Hutton, Senderos, Vlaar, Cissokho, Westwood, Delph, Richardson, Weimann, N'Zogbia, Agbonlahor

Substitutes: Given, Baker, Bacuna, Cole, Bent, Sanchez, Grealish
