'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Has Someone Not Passed Around The Memo?

Like Siem de Jong before him, Remy Cabella spoke of his desire to win us a cup and actually mentioned that the team is targetting trophies.

Either there's been a major change of policy here or someone forgot to pass around the memo.

It's only been a few short months since the infamous statement at the Newcastle United Fans Forum where it was said that we have no real interest in competing in cups and were only gonna use them to blood the youngsters.

Cabella, quoted in the Mirror said:

I hope we can win a cup this season. We play to win a trophy. We will see what happens this season.

We will see.

Hopefully this is the start of a brand new chapter in our clubs history because we're sick of the infighting.

All we want is an honest club to target as high a finish as we can get in every competition it plays. Money can still be earned from positivity.

Personally though, you just wonder if the club is selling ambitious visions to players that will eventually be sold at profit in a similar vein to Yohan Cabaye who was obviously annoyed that we didn't deliver on our promise to him of ambition.

Time as always, will tell.
