French Exodus Continues

The French exodus continues after Yohan Cabaye, Mathieu Debuchy and Loic Remy's departures are added to with the loan of Sylvain Marveaux to Guingamp

It's an initial season long loan due to the reluctance of the French side to pay a transfer fee of around 3 million. It's believed that they'll pay a high percentage of his wage, although to be paying any of our players any percentage of wage to play elsewhere is just plain daft.

Marveaux's exclusion from the group that flew to New Zealand for a pre-season mini tour, pretty much displayed the writing on the wall and the same must now be said for the likes of Gabriel Obertan, Hatem Ben Arfa and Jonas Gutierrez as their absence as first team members just leaves more questions than answers.

28 year old Marveaux joined us 3 seasons ago, has appeared in 57 league and cup games amazingly enough, has 2 goals and 10 assists to his name.
