Janmaat Close To Sealing Deal

In a similar style to January 2013, Newcastle United expect to continue to spend what we have made from player sales.

The impending sale of Mathieu Debuchy to Arsenal for touching on 12 million will finance the transfer of Dutch international right back, Daryl Janmaat, who is close to joining us for a fee believed to be around 6 million.

It may be reported in the press that it takes the number of signings to an impressive five but we've sold or lost more than that, so another incoming body is more than needed.

From what little ive seen of him, he has looked impressive in his role with an eye to attack plus he can deliver a cracking cross. That's something we have lacked in recent memory.

As and when this deal happens, we'll report it on Talk of the Tyne.
