NUFC Complete 6 Year Cabella Deal

NUFC Complete 6 Year Cabella Deal

Newcastle United today completed the signing of attacking midfielder Rémy Cabella.

He signs from Montpellier and receives a 6 year contract for an undisclosed fee although the actual figure is believed to be around £8 million.

Corsican born Cabella is a 24-year-old French international, who is versatile in the attacking midfield role including the wings.

He has been at Montpellier since the age of 14 and has progressed through the ranks there.

Speaking on the official club website, NUFC.co.uk, he was quoted as saying:

It is great to finally be a Newcastle player.

This is a move that I really wanted to make, as I have heard nothing but good things about Newcastle United from everyone I spoke to.

Cabella becomes the 4th signing of the Summer but so far we've not spent a penny due to recent transfer sales.

It's rumoured that we're close to adding a couple more players this week but without a decent striker and appropriate strenghtening of the squad, signings like Cabella will be pointless.
