Shay Given Ready For Action?

Shay Given Ready For Action?

Is Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder ready to throw Shay Given back into action against Palermo?

It seems unlikely, but Given was one of five goalkeepers included in the squad that flew out to Sicily. He continues his recovery from abdominal surgery, while Pavel Srnicek is ineligible.

But Steve Harper is struggling, and Roeder won't name his team until the Easington-born 'keeper has a medical.

Newcastle (from): Harper, Krul, Given, Foster, Bernard, Ramage, Moore, Bramble, Taylor, Huntington, Butt, Emre, Solano, N'Zogbia, Milner, Pattison, O'Brien, Troisi, Luque, Sibierski, Carroll.

How long has Glenn Roeder got before the axe falls, he is obviously out of his depth....... isn't he?

yeah, he is out of his depth - we need our money well spent not wasted.by the way - he'd better not start given - we would be better with a fit krul than a half fit shay given
