Friendlies Chosen For Live TV

News came today that a couple of our pre-season games have been chosen for live TV with plenty of time to add to that number.

The end of July sees us fly to New Zealand for a mini tour and BT Sport has decided for some reason to either show a new beginning or the continuation of depression.

The tour sees Newcastle United face both Sydney FC and Wellington Phoenix.

It's widely anticipated that any of our players involved in the world cup, won't be on the plane there.

Our pre-season schedule with games marked for TV in BOLD

15 July Oldham (A)

22 July Sydney FC (Dunedin - in New Zealand)

26 July Wellington Phoenix (Wellington - in New Zealand)

30 July Sheffield Wednesday (A)

2 August Malaga (Part of the Schalke tournament)

3 August Schalke 04 (Part of the Schalke tournament)

5 August Huddersfield (A)

10 August Real Sociedad (our only home fixture)
