NUFC Sign Jack Colback And Cause A Mackem Meltdown

The worst kept secret in Tyne and Wear became gospel today with the news that Newcastle born Jack Colback would indeed pull on the black and white of his home town club next season.

The ginger midfielder signing on a long deal after letting his Sunderland contract run down thus joining us for nowt.

The 'Geordie' joined our deadly rivals whilst still at school and came through the ranks there thus causing the official Mackem website to throw the toys out the pram and be bitter in saying that they are getting nothing for the time and investment they've spent on him.

The posting of pictures of him whilst playing for them in heat of the moment action or ill advised just rather petty and sour grapes.

The lad has a heck of a job to start with in trying to win a fair few supporters over for his antics during the local derbies before we get other immature stuff involved.

Hopefully the player is a replacement for the likes of Dan Gosling and we see a decent quality replacement for the likes of Yohan Cabaye still but the player is a trier and one that we have lacked in recent times.
