'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Spineless

I apologise straight away for misleading any reader into thinking that this story is all about us from Talk of the Tyne having a blow out at the continual amateur running of our (once) great club, although we do requests if asked nicely...

No, this is about the state of our team and the lack of forward thinking which must stem with Mike Ashley first before any other impersonator of a football negotiator.

We go into our trip to Stamford bridge on Saturday without our first choice spine. A spine that would be high up on the list of the best in the league.

At the back we still miss Fabricio Coloccini due to ligament damage in his knee or to the more sceptic amongst us, homesickness.

Up front, we have Loic Remy sitting out again as punishment for his part in Rocky 9. Crap acting by his co-star was missed by the director, who blamed Remy, who in turn misses a 3 parter. This being the 2nd.

The middle of our spine saw Yohan Cabaye flogged to line the clubs pockets with his partner in crime, Cheick Tiote unable to prop up the rest of the body and suffering an injury in training to be out for a month.

The worries continue to mount up.
