'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Who Is Luuk de Jong?

With all the hot air and smoke floating around, one thing that will be missed is that we'll be doing little or no business.

If we do anything in this January window, it'll be to loan a player that we've been offered to buy permanently for a figure below a price we were allegedly gonna pay two years ago.

That player is Luuk de Jong.

He's a Dutch international 6ft 2 striker who's played at all levels of the national game. He's 23 years old.

Former clubs include De Graafschap and FC Twente with his current club, a mouthful to say in Borussia Mönchengladbach.

A 1 in 2 striker he was before he moved to Germany where he's now out of favour but with a scoring record of 1 in 3.
