Do The Ben Arfa Maths Add Up?

There's always a story to be made out of nowt on Tyneside and today is a typical day of the norm or is it?

After the win at West Ham on Saturday, the majority of our squad jetted off to the middle east and the heat filled air of Abby Dabby (Abu Dhabi) for some warm weather training.

It wasn't long before the Abu Dhabi based NUFC supported twitter brigade hadn't clocked Hatem Ben Arfa and starting answering the '2+2' question that these things always bring when a player is absent.

The Newcastle Chronicle said that Ben Arfa has permission to stay away for 'fitness training' and family visits, comparing it to others like Fabricio Coloccini and Jonas Gutierrez, who likewise were allowed time away for personal reasons.

Personally, Ben Arfa can't be 100% happy at his bit part role at present and he may not be happy with the extra tracking back that his role has to incorporate now. He may also be in discussion with another side in getting a move away from NE1 and explain the eagerness to recruit Remy Cabella. Who knows.

Whatever happens, we'll use the well worn phrase in saying that we'll report on it on Talk of the Tyne.

Ironically HBA would fit perfectly into Cabs new found No. 10 role (when Dreamboat finally sails off into the sunset) alongside Goof and Sissoko but Pardwho doesnt rate him so aint gonna happen !
