Turks Out To Get Emre?

Turks Out To Get Emre?

Fenerbahce will be no push overs, and already boast an incredible double win over Manchester United in the Champions League in days gone by.

But one player who will be giving it 110% (and hopefully still stay on the pitch) is Toon midfielder Emre, who has a bitter dislike of the Turkish giants. And don't the Fenerbahce know it!

Emre made his name playing for Galatasaray, the arch rivals to Zico's side, so there is more than just three points up for grabs as far as he is concerned. Emre joined Galatasaray when he was 14, following in the footsteps of his father who also played for them.

Emre: 'When I played for Galatasaray, I won four league titles, one UEFA Cup, one Super Cup and three times the Turkish Cup. That was the best time for Galatasaray and maybe that was the best Turkish team of all time.

'But two weeks after we beat Arsenal in the UEFA Cup final, we lost 1-0 to Fenerbahce. Football is sometimes tough.

'Galatasaray v Fenerbahce is a big derby like Newcastle v Sunderland. I do not remember, but I won three or four times and maybe lost once or twice.'
