Man Utd Victory The Catalyst For Greater Things?

Whatever our thoughts of the Alan Pardew tenure, the latest victory over Man United must surely propel us into the pack of challengers for Europe.

Whether it's our target or not has been an arguing point amongst the fans for months with a lack of ambition or investment the reason why the majority state that Mike Ashley is happy with existance in te league alone, such is the rewards for doing so.

60 million minimum for the tiniest of investment is like gold dust in a business sense but we're in the entertainment side of it and it shouldn't work like that.

As I said, we must surely be in the category of challengers now with the draw with 10 men against Liverpool the catalyst for victories over Spurs and Chelsea, then being added to by this recent scalp of another title pretender in Man Utd.

Whatever the truth is, we wont be taken as lightly by anyone else from this point onwards and with a kinder, than of late, fixture list coming up, our greatest opponent could be ourselves.

We'll know soon enough whether we intend to match performances with ambition in the transfer market and add the minimum 2 players we need to get us through the rest of the season as well as tie up the Loic Remy deal that everyone craves.

As ever with NUFC though, we always have the potential to shoot ourselves in the foot or roll out the unexpected mat, hopefully this time it's a positive one and we can go on to greater things.
