Pardew To Leave?

Yet more rumours appeared in various news feeds today that stated that Alan Pardew continues to be linked with the vacant Crystal Palace job.

The former Palace player is an easy target to be linked, due to his past employment there plus it's very close to home for him, not to mention the St James' Park scenario can't be the easiest one to live with, not wih Ashley and Kinnear breathing down his neck.

The rumour mill up here had always earmarked the November international break as the one in which he would be on his bike and we are fast approaching it.

Personally he's the ideal face for Ashley's NUFC as he takes the flak and speaks as though he is reading a finely prepared script from the tight billionaire, so it's hard to actually see that he will walk but the whispers have been right before, so one can't completely rule it out.

The same whispers have the replacement to be one of Roberto Di Matteo or Lee Clark, although Joe Kinnear wouldn't be ruled out but in my opinion it won't happen for health reasons.

He just couldn't hack the grief or stress that he'd face.

As ever though, we'll find out soon enough.

If he is on such a long contract - why throw it away?
cannonball
Why would any very successfull business man give any employee something for nothing. Ashley certainly would not and it is my opinion that, it may be an eight year contract he's on, but you can bet your life that it is probably fixed to a rolling twelve month review due to performance checking etc, etc. So in effect, he would only have a one year deal to worry about and no compensatiun worries either way. But what do I know , I'm just from a wee club up north.

I will carry him to Croydon on my back.
