It's been well documented since Alan Pardew was 'installed' as manager of our great club, Newcastle United, that we just can't compete.
This ramble of complete horse s**t has been swallowed, hook, line and sinker by a vast array of black and white die hards.
Pardew's latest comments in The Journal are just pure reflective of the greed and complete lack of ambition that is running through the club's veins now.
"I do think that two years ago, that middle rank of teams were not as good as they are now, and that makes it more difficult for us,"
"We do need to step our game up to compete with the Southamptons and West Hams who have bought well.
These two quotes alone just set me off into an anger frenzy and we've had crap like this for nearly three years from the bloke.
Six years and counting under Ashley. It's killed the club as it once was, nobody trusts many words from it anymore.
What we have in our midst is a club that is consistently in the world's top 20 richest football clubs without any success whatsoever.
A club that if it was run right could arguably be in the top 5 due to the untapped potential.
We have a lower wage bill to turnover than we've had for a long time.
We have increased TV revenue.
A better sponsorship deal.
A stadium which is the THIRD biggest in the league and nearly always full, so revenue for this makes us near the top of the league.
We haven't been stupid spending since Ashley took over whilst other clubs have and to cap it all off, every other club has signed players and increased the wage bill but still we gets stories of Ashley has saved us or we just can't compete.
WHY CAN'T WE COMPETE?
There is absolutely no excuse apart from Mike Ashley just using us to advertise his cheap brand of sports shops.
He has no ambition to run us as a proper football club and proves that by employing third rate people that wouldn't get a job anywhere else.
The sooner people wake up, smell the coffee and somehow rid the club of the problem that is choking the life out of it, the better, because then we can slowly start to rebuild the club into what it can be under the right ownership.
One of the biggest clubs in the world, competing regularly for European honours.
