'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Toon Take-Over Latest

Newcastle United could soon have a new owner - the Belgravia Group - as we reported last month.

The Jersey-based investment group are set to make a fresh offer having seen an offer of £91m turned down at the weekend.

Sir John Hall owns 28.8% of the club; Douglas Hall 12%; Freddy Shepherd 28%.

A Sunday newspaper quotes an executive close to the negotiations as saying: 'Talks are ongoing and there seems to be every chance of a deal being struck.'
