Who Is Roeder Right-Hand Man?

Lee Clark has finally been named as Newcastle United reserve-team boss, replacing Tommy Craig.

Although the 33-year-old midfielder has officially been given the job title after filling in during the spell since Craig left club, there is still no news of Glenn Roeder's new right-hand man.

Glenn Roeder: 'This is a good appointment for Newcastle because Lee is a bright young coach with a good future in the game.'

Roeder was again a little subdued when asked about bringing in a new assistant after the club parted company with Kevin Bond. Not only was the decision made without the Newcastle manager being involved, but he seemed reluctant to say if he was actually looking for a new face.

Or more nearer the truth ... if Freddy Shepherd would allow him one!
