'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A Channelled Vent

Tonight saw a gathering of NUFC fan groups, writers, supporters and fractions of the media cram into a social club just a stone's hoy from the Gallowgate end of St James' Park.

A meeting is not unusual but the number of people and the topics of conversation made it extraordinary.

Obviously with a number of factors going on at our club at present, there would always be an element of venting and that proved to be the case tonight but the overriding message that came out is that everyone is United in sharing disharmony.

The level of disharmony is the debating point with many people having different views or things that they see can make a difference here.

Top of the list has to be communication from Mike Ashley.

It's an absolute disgrace for a team that gets 52,000 fans most weeks that we can't be cherished with a few words now and then or at least told what the ambition is here, instead of us second guessing.

As the weeks go on, we may see further meetings grow in size and more groups could follow with us on Talk of the Tyne basically still independent as it stands.

We value our own contacts or meetings we've had with club officials but can't rule out anything in the future.

What is certain though is that things will have to change or we can see uncertain times again and we all know what happened the last time.
