Alan Shearer spoke today of how sickened he is by the current plight of our club and how we've become a laughing stock.
Speaking in his usual 'The Sun' slot, Alan pretty much expressed to a tee, how all of the fans feel at this present moment in time.
In part of the article, Shearer explained:
I promised myself years ago never to be surprised by what happens in football — particularly when it comes to Newcastle.
But this situation really is stretching it a bit.
While other clubs are all plotting and planning for next season, Newcastle have a manager who has just been totally undermined.
Alan Pardew has said he will carry on but I am sure it will be a difficult situation.
In a separate development, although one can't help to think it could have been related to Shearer's rant, Mike Ashley has decided to rename the bar at the back of the Gallowgate end from 'Shearer's' to simply 'NINE'.
Sources close to Shearer say that although Alan knew of the refurbishment and decision to rename the bar, he was surprised at the timing of it.
A charity bash to open the new place is expected to raise funds for Alan's foundation.
