Toon Fans Put Hammers To Shame

Toon Fans Put Hammers To Shame

Apart from abuse at Glenn Roeder, of course. But that was because of times gone by when he was manager at Upton Park ... when the fella had a brain tumour and was fighting for his life.

Says a lot really.

Roeder: 'I apologise if I have upset the West Ham crowd and I obviously did. I did nothing more than any other opposing manager would do when his own supporters are cheering his name.

'Our supporters are the best in the country. They travel everywhere and are starved of success. They carried on singing my name and I carried on waving to them.

'I will put my reputation on the line - that Glenn Roeder has never been involved in causing any trouble. I'm not an excitable person. It was completely unintentional.'

what a pointless article we have had 3 games in a week, and each one was sold out barring in mind our performances have been awful, the crowd was abit subdued to say the least iv'e been to st james when things haven't been going well and it was the same there roeder got abuse because he was waving at the fans not once but about 3-4 times, and punching the air...when he was hammers manager he also said he was a hammers fan......below the belt i thought

Nice one dan, agree 100% Roedent was clearly acting up, it was a joke...standing and waving like he thought he was the queen and smugly stood looking at our fans, he was clearly causing trouble.
