Simpson Wont Leave On The Quiet

Danny Simpson still has a major role to play for Newcastle United in what will be the final three and a bit months of his career here before he leaves on a free transfer.

The right back was set to join Wigan on deadline day and had gone as far as being packed up and saying his goodbyes to staff before the plug was pulled at the last minute, so chances are that the destination will be the same come July.

In the meantime though, Alan Pardew has stated that he has no qualms whatsoever about calling on Simpson if he's needed by saying.

"I have to say that Danny wants to show people he`s a Premier League player.

"So Danny`s in the frame, yes. He will have a role to play. He`s a paid player at this football club - he`s a professional player.

"I expect him, when I call upon him, to do his absolute best for me. I don`t doubt that he will. I have no doubts."

Simpson will leave us in July after playing 131 games in total, scoring 2 goals in the process.
