Revised Newcastle United Europa League Squad
In one of the worst kept secrets, we have added three players to our Europa Cup squad for the finale of the 2012/13 competition.
The players added are Massadio Haidara, Moussa Sissoko and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.
Yoan Gouffran misses out because he has already played in the competition for Bordeaux and Mathieu Debuchy misses out because of a little known rule which only allows one player to play in two European competitions in a season.
Mbiwa also playing in the Champions League for his former club mean't it was a choice between the two players.
The fact that Mbiwa is a more versatile player in a number of positions seems to have got him the nod.
Leaving our squad are Demba Ba, Mehdi Abeid, Brad Inman, Dennis Knight, Conor Newton and Xisco.
