Danny Simpson Returns To Action

Danny Simpson returned to action over the weekend but not in the way that we would expect.

Footage was released during the early hours of the morning of a prone Simpson, lying in the gutter after an apparent assault.

Many media outlets showing him with blood pouring out of his mouth and some video footage via mobile phone was also aired.

Thankfully it seems as if the defender, expected to leave in the Summer as his contract will have expired, is recovering as he tweeted earlier today, 'For the record im okay, 2 on 1 well done!'

Hopefully this incident doesn't affect the lad in his final few months here and he can still play a part in our League and Europa Cup campaigns.
