'If It's Football, It's Vital'

NUFC Transfer Bits and Pieces

As the window closes, we avoided the tedium of having to be glued to Sky Sports News for snippets of info regarding signings, which is a major achievement in itself.

Instead, we did our business earlier in bringing in Mathieu Debuchy, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa,Yoan Gouffran,Massadio Haidara and Moussa Sussoko whilst reluctantly allowing Demba Ba leave on that infamous transfer clause. *Thanks 'Arry.

However, some loose ends were tied up today with another signing for the development squad in the shape of Kevin Mbabu, who is a defensive midfielder and the Xisco saga finally ended earlier with his contract being paid up early instead of him dragging his stay here until July.

Overall, a more than satisfactory transfer window with some gloss took off with the lack of a quality striker coming in but we know the areas in which we will be busy for the Summer with at least two strikers needed now.
