'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ramage Should 'Look And Learn'

For 81 minutes Parker was the star man. But he limped off the pitch after a painful kick to the knee with just eight minutes remaining, and Newcastle fell apart.

Fulham produced the smash-and-grab raid of the season so far.

Defender Peter Ramage, who has yet to prove his Premiership credentials, slippled to allow Wayne Routledge to deliver the cross for the 82nd-minute equaliser. And again he looked like a fish out of water. But he was quick to praise Parker.

Ramage: 'Scott has been phenomenal and Saturday was no exception.

'He led the side. He has taken the captain's role on with great authority. He is always shouting and instructing the team what to do.

'As captain, he was the most disappointed - we all were, but his performance did not deserve to be on the losing side.

'If the Gaffer had given the arm band to Shay, you would not have seen a different Scott Parker. That is the way he plays.

'Just because he is wearing the captain's armband, it does not mean he is going to do anymore or any less.

'He just gives his all, he gives 110% in every game, and it is inspiring to watch because he leads by example.'

I still don't quite understand why roder didn't sign an experienced centre back, Sol Campbell would have been perfect for Newcastle. And i'm sorry, Scot Parker, despite being a superb player would have done very little to prevent the defensive howler which allowed Fulham to snatch the win.

The commentators on a local Newcastle radio station claim that not one of the Villa players could get into Newcastles squad (this was after their 2-0 defeat), so you cant blame some people like geordie boys, they are clearly brainwashed.
