NUFC get Brighton Again!!

For the ninth time in the last eleven seasons, we get yet another away trip and to a place where we crashed out last season.

Brighton's Amex Arena provides the backdrop on the cold winter's day, when we start our quest for Wembley, probably with a lengthy injury list and probably without the likes of Cheik Tiote and Shola Ameobi as well, due to the Africans Nations Cup.

So expect, yet again, the national media to descend and try to drive another nail in Alan Pardew's coffin, maybe the final one if we lose.

Past history is against us and you only have to go back a year to our last meeting in which our own Mike Williamson decided to gift them the winner by sticking the ball in his own net.

The older ones among us, know of the games in the 80's where we were robbed by the most blatant referee decisions ever up here at St James' but things like that are rare nowadays and we'll just have to hope the real NUFC turn up this year.

It's been a while.
