The left winger is said to be high on Mick McCarthy's wishlist, but the ex-Mackem will get no favours from Glenn Roeder. The youngster is getting high praise from Ireland, who have already blooded him at international level, but Roeder is in no mood to hand McCarthy a 'freeby'.

The 21 year old is staying at St James' Park. TRUST ME!

Roeder turned down Ipswich and Burnley last week when they came to SJP with the begging cap outstretched, and McCarthy can save his breath.

Have to ay Andy, I'd be very very surprised if he turns up at Molineux. Smacks more of meedja mischief than actual reality. Everyone knows Mick is on teh lookout for CB and LM. Lee Hendrie is another one the meedja keep dragging up, which goes back to late 05!!
