Villa Get What They Deserve!

Villa Get What They Deserve!

... after seven months of pulling Fat Fred's plonker ... offering £1m 'and no more' ... and issuing newspaper reports that Milner wants to play his football at Villa Park, perhaps they got what they deserved.

Milner was given permission to speak to Villa on transfer deadline day and a fee of £4m and personal terms had been agreed. Then Shepherd insisted the deal would not go ahead and the winger had to return to Tyneside.

The Magpies had offered Milner to Boro on Wednesday afternoon in an attempt to sign Middlesbrough striker Mark Viduka. Boro said they wanted the cash up front - Shepherd agreed to sell Milner to Villa - then Boro had a change of heart and refused to sell the Aussie to Newcastle, whatever the cost. Roeder didn't want to lose a player and not replace him.

O'Neill: 'I am bitterly disappointed because everything had been agreed but there was absolutely nothing we could do about the situation.'

A couple of things - just how happy would you be if you were JamesMillner right now?

Given Villas new found wealth will they be looking for better players come January?

I predict a p*ssed off Milner at Newcastle before going somewhere (not Villa) in January.

Milner has shown enough so far this season to tell us that we really need him in the squad - probably in the team most of the time. If the fans value him more than the management, then we've got to show it if there's any chance of him staying long term. (And we haven't really done that at any time since he became a Toon player, have we? JB

Think your chairman's a bit of a prat. I reckon Milner won't be a happy chappy. He was just being used. Not very good at all!

geordie boys, you really do like making a complete dork out of yourself don't you? Time after time you make absurd predictions, humiliate yourself, but still you rant on. You have all the intelligence and perception of a week old cheese sandwich.

Geordie Boys - Ther you go mouthing off again. You do attract the top players I admit. But what have they done for you??? Milner was set for Villa and was *****ed off at being called back last minute. Looks like you manager 'Alan Partridge' isn't sure what he is doing. Which is a bit worrying for NUFC fans me thinks!
