Graveson To Snub Celtic?

Gravesen's agent confirmed yesterday that the ex-Everton player would prefer to play in England ... not Scotland.

Apparently he is paid £80,000-a-week at Real Madrid, and the final decision could hinge on which club is willing to meet his sizeable personal terms.

Roeder: 'Thomas Gravesen is certainly a player I admire. There's a possibility he might become available. If he did, I would be silly not to want to bring him here.'

Eh I don't think so his agent sepcifically said that he (Gravesen) Was very warm on a move to Celtic. He commented that "most" players would want to paly in the EPL, however Celtic being in the Champions league (pot 2 i might add) is a huge pull for Gravesen. In addition does he want to win honours or get stuck in a mid table (EPL) scrap with no chance of winning anything. Newcastle might have great fans ect but in the current climate of Chelsea domination you have bugger all chance of winning a thing. Gravesen to Newcastle might happen if all he wants is a big pay packet but if he wants to show his grand children winners medals then Celtic is the palce to be. We play in a ***** league of that there is no doubt, but winning the SPL guarantes champions league footbal finishing 9th or 10th in Engalnd gives you zero, xilch, nada, nothing. So lets see what he decides before you start talking of snubs. Hail Hail

£80,000 a week for someone who looks like they should be in EastEnders and plays like they should be in Jossie's Giants. Good luck...!

I'm not sure this article is correct. John Sivabeck has confirmed that Celtic have agreed personal terms, the issue now is the fee to Real. It is common knowledge the player wants to come to Celtic id a deal can be struck as he has been to Celtic Park as a guest of former Danish Celtic players and was blown away by the best atmosphere in European football.
