Owen Out For Weeks?
Graeme Souness: 'Two weeks ago this Friday he [Owen] clipped a few balls into an empty net and felt something, but we took him to London and at first we thought it would be a slight strain. It has turned out to be a tear, but we hope he is ready this weekend. He is disappointed and frustrated and we need Michael in the cause. Just as Arsenal would miss Thierry Henry and Manchester United would miss Wayne Rooney, we need him fighting for the cause.'
So, on current form, Owen looks likely to miss the Villa match and it is starting to frustrate us all. But what does the club do under these circumstances? Kieron Dyer and Emre both broke down when they were brought back prematurely against Manchester United.
